September, Minus the Last Four Days

Until the last four days (stay tuned), September was pretty photographically uneventful.

I saw these Canada Geese (above) and this American Crow (below) one morning.

And another morning, I saw this goofy mid-molt Carolina Wren.

Just for reference, he’s supposed to look like the below right photo.

But instead he looked like a goober

And one afternoon, I snapped these photos right through the window screen because I was shocked to see this juvenile hawk. I believe it’s a young Red-shouldered Hawk, but I’ve never seen one with such light coloration. It was noteworthy, even though I wish I’d gotten a better shot.
